This family retreat set in the heart of North Texas considers the the idea of incremental growth. The first phase main house contains all the main functions leaving the guest cabins to be added a later date as their family grows over time. This layout also allows for a couple's retreat without opening the guest wing, or traveling with the whole family or a group of friends opening up the whole campus.

The simple form and clean structure allows for modular shop assembly, delivery and erection without a typical on site crew and equipment typically required for home construction. The retreat is oriented to showcase the waterfront treeline and allow a sense of privacy from the entry procession.
